For many western Companies subcontracting or willing to subcontract the manufacturing of equipment abroad, the quality issue is a major fear of failure of their enterprise.
Indeed after a careful choice of the local partner, a continuous or frequent presence of quality inspectors in the workshops is the best way to meet the quality requirements of the manufactured equipment.
EGT quality inspectors have been performing such monitoring for years, all over the world. They master technical documents such as bill of materials, 2D-3D industrial drawings, standard books of procedures that they use to achieve their mission.
They also carry out non-destructive testing such as :
- Visual inspection : material, welding, paint coating, report on defects in shape, structure or any abnormal aspect, in-service inspection (respect of procedures of manufacturing => material grade, heat treatment certificates for instance, tools used, care of the workmen, etc…) ;
- Ultrasonic inspection : welded joints and thickness testing, internal corrosion of pipelines… ;
- Liquid penetrant inspection : with visible or fluorescent dyes, testing of material in order to detect possible defects, leaks in welded or machined parts… ;
- X-Ray inspection : imperfections detected through density variations in the material in applications such as welder quality qualification ;
- TV inspection : use of mini-cameras to see and inspect hard to reach areas of installations.
EGT quality inspectors provide computerized and accurate inspection reports and pictures on which Customers can fully rely.
